Surrounded by legendary peaks, such as Queen Marmolada, Col Ombretta and Gran Vernel, Malga Contrin can only be reached on foot from Alba di Canazei.

Owned by the ASUC of Pozza and recently renovated, the hut - five minutes from the Rifugio Contrin - has been managed by the family of Konrad Haselrieder since 1990. Remember Tobias, Heidi's grandfather? The resemblance is striking! It is one of the few alpine garrisons that has kept the true spirit of the mountains unchanged over the years, both in the welcome and in the gastronomic offer, really at km0. You climb up here, among the cows that graze happily, to taste the still hot ricotta, the fresh thyme cheese, the cream with blueberry compote, the yogurt with pomegranate syrup, the smoothie with berries. And what about Kaiserschmarren and pancakes with ricotta and cranberry jam? If you prefer salty, chopping boards, soups, sandwiches and salads are always available.
